Stanyer dialled 999 and when paramedic Christopher Paul arrived he told him that he had woken up to find Ms Snook-Kite slumped against the front door. The first any of Ms Snook-Kite’s neighbours knew about her death was when paramedics arrived at 6.27am - seven hours after she returned home. Mr Wall said that police also found fragments of glass from the couple’s front door on Ms Snook-Kite’s jumper. “It’s impossible to exactly age bruises but it is possible to tell, if you’re a pathologist, whether they are fresh or old. “Where those bruises were found indicated to him they were bruises caused by somebody gripping Tracy Snook-Kite. “On each arm there was a series of small round bruises. “The bruises he found were quite distinctive,” Mr Wall said. When she was examined by pathologist Dr Alexander Kolar he discovered bruises on both arms. Mr Wall said that Ms Snook-Kite died as a result of positional asphyxiation. “Our case is that Tracy Snook-Kite was assaulted by somebody and that assault must have caused her to fall, hit her head and end up in this compromised position.” “The prosecution’s case is that this was not an accidental fall. “Mr Stanyer has always said that nothing happened in the house.
